Lord You Are Good – A Worship Dance

December 18, 2008

Lord you are good and your mercy endures forever.

That’s it. God is good and His mercy never ends. This truth about God will never change no matter how we feel during difficult times, or how many times we broke His heart. This assurance that He is good and His mercy endures forever amazes me. Because Jesus died on the cross of Calvary more than 2,000 years ago and rose again after three days, and is now sitting at the right hand of God the Father, His mercy and goodness will endure forever and ever. Glory to His Name.

Ecclesiastes 1

Everything Is Meaningless 1 The words of the Teacher, [a] son of David, king in Jerusalem: 2 “Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher. “Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.” 3 What does man gain from all his labor at which he toils under the sun? 4 Generations come and generations go, but the earth remains forever. 5 The sun rises and the sun sets, and hurries back to where it rises. 6 The wind blows to the south and turns to the north; round and round it goes, ever returning on its course. 7 All streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full. To the place the streams come from, there they return again. 8 All things are wearisome, more than one can say. The eye never has enough of seeing, nor the ear its fill of hearing. 9 What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. 10 Is there anything of which one can say, “Look! This is something new”? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time. 11 There is no remembrance of men of old, and even those who are yet to come will not be remembered by those who follow.

Ecclesiastes 12 1 Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, “I find no pleasure in them”-

The Gift

December 14, 2008

While watching a Christmas Cantata last night, I was excited to see young boys and girls lined up giving a thing from their hands for the audience randomly. I was sitting at the back and it was dark so I didn’t expect any of the kids to come and hand me that “special thing”. To my surprise, a cute little girl came to me and handed me a cute wrist band. So I said, “thank you”.

Christmas is here!!! It’s that time of the year again when we can both give and receive gifts. For the past couple of years, I have to admit December is my most stressful month of the year. Checking the list of names and gifts to buy or make, rushing to malls or shops, sending gifts, preparing for parties and reunions makes me feel so tired.

Everybody loves gifts. Many of us, we’ll be receiving gifts this holiday season. Reality check, there will always be gifts that are sometimes irrelevant to us and impractical. Those are gifts which after 3 or 5 days of use would become an extra baggage to us. We’ve got no option of course but to accept those gifts and say “thank you”.

More than 2,000 years ago, we were given the greatest gift of all times- a Savior was born, Jesus Christ the Lord. But during that time, people whom He loves rejected Him. Jesus humbled Himself and showed us how to live. He bore our sins and died in our place. The truth is, He is loved by God even before the creation of the world. He was given a Name that is above every name(Philippians 2:9), the Name Jesus because He will save his people from their sins.( Matthew 1: 21 ). That is, Jesus, who is also God, became flesh and dwelt among us and died because of you and me. He became the ultimate sacrifice for our sins.

God’s love is so great that a gift of eternal life was made available for each of us through His Son Jesus. The Bible tells us in the book of Romans 6:23, ” For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

The sad truth is even today, many of us still reject that gift. My prayer for you my friend is for you to experience the love of God in your life today. Jesus loves you and He’s offering you a free gift of salvation. Will you accept that gift by allowing Christ to come in to your heart today?

Do yourself a favor, let Him in. It’s for your own good…

Footsteps of the Messiah

December 12, 2008
One of the greatest signs of God's existence is the State of Israel. This nation is the size of New Jersey, yet it remains constantly in the news.

One of the greatest signs of God's existence is the State of Israel. This nation is the size of New Jersey, yet it remains constantly in the news.

Today’s generation had witnessed remarkable world and economic events that took place one after the other in just a short period of time. And we will continue to witness more in the coming years. We can expect the world around us to become more and more anti-Christian. Thus, some difficult days ahead for the Church.

How Much Time Do We Have Left?

Our job in the short time we have left is to get ready to move to our new home. That means breaking our ties with the old one. Anything that can’t be put to kingdom use is excess baggage to us now. We should be sending whatever treasure we have up ahead. We should stop worrying about our career, our retirement fund, our lifestyle, and all those other worldly distractions and put all our resources to work for the benefit of our next life. After all it’s the real one. And one way or the other, this one is already gone.

Jesus on His Sermon on the Mount tells us to quit storing up treasure on Earth where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. Instead, store up treasure in Heaven (Matt. 6:19-20). And He’s the one who said not to worry about our lives here but seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and he’ll provide all our needs. (Matt. 6:31-34) So whether you think we’re leaving here soon or not, it’s time to pay attention to what He’s been telling us. No matter how much time you think we have, you can almost hear the footsteps of the Messiah.

Subic Aetas busy in their farm project

December 12, 2008

SUBIC BAY FREEPORT – A nine-hectare vegetable farm is now thriving at the hilly village of Pastolan in this freeport after members of the indigenous Aeta tribe converted part of their land into a green garden and demonstration farm with the assistance of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).

The green garden project, which was launched under the SBMA’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, was aimed at increasing the household income of some 200 Aeta families living in Pastolan.

Kenette Fernando, SBMA deputy administrator for corporate communications, said the Aeta community had recently planted the farm with sweet potato, cassava, gabi tubers and black pepper.

“Now, they are looking forward to harvesting their first crop in March,” he said.

Pastolan village chieftain Conrado Frenilla said the green garden project started as a concept of the SBMA Public Relations Department and was implemented jointly by the Aeta tribal council and the department’s community relations officers.

“A few months ago, the SBMA brought us to a Taiwanese green garden and demo farm in Castillejos, Zambales and it was where we got some ideas on vegetable farming and marketing techniques that we hope to apply in our area,” Frenilla said.

He said clearing the nine-hectare project site was quite difficult because it was rocky and full of hardy grass, and they lacked suitable farming equipment.

“But little by little, we coped and cleared the area using only jungle bolos, rakes and our albino carabao named Tisoy,” he added.

Frenilla also expressed appreciation to the SBMA “for its continuous support to various Aeta communities in Subic” in terms of employment, scholarship grants, livelihood skill trainings and infrastructure projects.

Aside from Pastolan, four other Aeta villages are located in the Subic Bay Freeport, most of them in remote hills and jungles where the natives used to forage for food.

Gigi Estalilla, an SBMA community relations’ officer who oversees the Pastolan green garden project, said work in the Aeta communities is hard but very rewarding.

“Twice or thrice a week, we hike several kilometers from the main road up to the farm to check on the progress of the crops,” she said.

To start the project, 10 workers were hired through the SBMA Ecology Center, said Estalilla. “But soon, the villagers came to volunteer in clearing the land, tilling the soil, and planting the crops.”

The Aeta villagers also helped put up an irrigation system that used a network of bamboo tubes to bring in water from a nearby stream.

The farm uses organic fertilizers made from composted leaves, tree bark and animal manure.

With the vegetable farm project now underway, Frenilla said, Pastolan villagers are now planning to develop another five hectares of land for a similar venture.

“We plan to plant this with fruit-bearing trees, and maybe put up a herbal garden, too,” Frenilla said, adding that the SBMA has promised to help them with marketing their farm produce. (PNA)

  • Spiritual Poems for the Lord by Nathan Pippin@2008

    December 7, 2008

As we move on to another year ahead days from now,  I feel that we need to prepare ourselves for the coming year. Let us arm ourselves with hope, peace, love, and strength in Christ Jesus.

Here are some of the spiritual poems written by Nathan Pippin whom I feel will help all readers in their personal walk with God. Let us pray that Nathan Pippin will receive financial blessings from the Lord so he could publish the poems for His glory.

    Bended Knee

Father, I have come early to seek your face.
That I might behold your glory,
And to rest in your wonderful grace.

I’ve come to our special place that we always meet.
I’m willing to lay all that I am and have, at your feet.
It’s hard to admit that I’m just not that strong.
Even more, that I’m sorry for doing you wrong.

So, I’m here now in search of your peace.
The hold I have, on all my concerns. I now release.
I’m giving you all the pieces of my life.
The hurts, the pains, the struggles with sin, even the strife.

Take from me my will, my strength, and my pride.
Only allow me remain, by your glorious side.
My heart you’ve humbled, till it’s broken,
Now, I’m listening to the words you’ve spoken.

Now Lord, give to me the heart to obey.
Instead of one that will go astray.
For I’m finally where I need to be,
Before your feet, on bended knee.

In Your Grace That I Rest

As the sun breaks through the morning skies,
It is in the joy of the lord that my strength lies.
It doesn’t matter what trials yesterday had brought,
For it was my Saviour Jesus who fought.
Its my hearts burdens, he has made lighter
And my future he has made sure and much brighter.

Each day, your tender mercies are fresh and new.
And my Savior Jesus, will always see me through
I’m prepared for whatever storm today may bring
And it is your praises, Lord, that I’ll forever sing
For I know it is in your grace that I rest
And I’ll grow stronger thru every test.

    I will always treasure

Lord, once again, I’m here in our special place.
You sit majestically, on your throne of grace
Where you and I are the only ones here.
Your glory overpowering, when you come near.
I’m filled with endearing love, as I kiss your feet.
Never has love been so kind and sweet.
There’s nowhere that I can feel more secure.
There’s just no place on earth, that love is so pure.
You know every thought and feeling, within my heart.
You search my depths, then wash every part.
I feel your presence within me, peaceful and tranquil.
Pride can not be found here, just humility when I kneel.
Praises from my grateful heart, I will always sing.
For you oh Lord, my spirit worships my King.
My spirit is renewed, my strength in you, cannot be measured.
This special place, this special time with you,
    I will always treasure.

    Who is this man?

    Who is this man,
With the glory of the Father within his eyes?
    Who comes from a kingdom
    Far bigger than any size?
    Who is this man,
    One who has more compassion,
    than we could ever conceive?
One who is able to give you faith
when it’s so hard to believe.

    Who is this man
Who’s love is so great, that it has no end?
With Grace and mercy too deep
For our feeble minds to comprehend

    Who is this man,
Who commands the roaring ocean to still?
    Who has legions of angels,
Just to accomplish and perform his will?

    Who is this man,
Who is all knowing, ever present and has all power?
That satan and all his demons of darkness,
Recognize, and in His presence, tremble and crawl?

    Who is this man,
Who gave up all of heaven
Just to die for you and me?
So that the Father and his children
    Could be reconciled
    and live together in harmony?

    Who is this man,
    That I am speaking of?
This is Jesus, The very Son of God,
    The Author of Love.

    October 6, 2008

What a blessing to hear a child speaking with words of wisdom beyond his years. This kid is so in-touch with God that he puts the rest of us to shame. His personal relationship with Jesus makes him understands the simple message that GOD LOVES US. It’s as simple as that. We adults make everything so difficult and complicated. Logan, you are wiser than most of us in our adult years. God bless you buddy.

    Love Of A Father

    September 8, 2008

Anywhere in the world you go, you will always meet people who could inspire you to love more, believe more, and to share that love and kindness to people around you. This video clip talks about the love and support of a father to his son. An earthly father with his own share of imperfections. What more is the love of our heavenly Father who is perfect in every way.

In the book of Ephesians 5:1-2 it says, ” (1) Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children (2) and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

    Sponsor A Child

    August 20, 2008

Now is the time. Share your love, prayers and support with a boy or girl who lives in poverty. Children are waiting…Act Now!

Half of the world’s poorest people are children and there are more babies born into poverty than ever before.  They got no access even to life’s basic needs like food and shelter.  Parents were pressed on every sides with the need to send their child for medical treatment but don’t have financial capabilities. Now is the time! Be Moved! Act Now! Sponsor a Child.

Helping the poor is more than a matter of hand-outs. The poor themselves have the potential to grow, to move out of their poverty if given opportunity and training. Ultimately, our aim is for the parents of this children to become self-sufficient by sharing with them great bits of information, provide trainings for various skills they could use to earn money. Impart to them the spirit of generosity and most of all Christ’s love and compassion.

By simple act of kindness to children born in places where poverty seems  a norm, you are letting yourself be used by God to do His will on this planet. Be the extension of God’s hand..Sponsor a child who needs to undergo a medical treatment/operation, who needs a family, or who needs money for his school tuition fees or for school uniform. Now is the time.Do not delay. Blessings!

    Blessings!
